The Mekanda Adalet Derneği - Center for Spatial Justice in Istanbul advocates for fairer, more ecological, and more democratic cities and rural areas. They had requested the creation and planning of the interface for a smartphone app called Spatial Justice Walks.
Spatial Justice Walks aims to playfully introduce the cultural history and local highlights of Istanbul by reaching various locations.
Under the supervision of Murat Germen, I, along with my fellow student Jessica Röll , created the entire design, interface, and structure of the app.
After successfully completing and presenting it to the assembly, we were asked by the chairman Sinan Erensü to also carry out the technical implementation of the app. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we had to decline.
The application's interface is fully functional and was created using the software Figma. Among other features, it offers a selection of 8 different maps to explore and experience the demographic change and history of individual locations during a walk.

The different routes can be selected and started.
A burger icon allows settings to be adjusted, such as language, units of length, or left-handed mode.
Additionally, information about the Center for Spatial Justice and individual routes can be downloaded.
At the beginning of the app, a small tutorial is offered to help users navigate more easily.
Within the route, before the official start, the individual stops can be seen, along with some important information about them. A started route should enable a kind of Google Maps function in the app, where the map can be displayed in various ways. Upon reaching a stop, information can be listened to or read. Another window also allows for monitoring the progress of the route.
